How do I respond to an ad?
To reply to a post via email:
Once an ad has been selected and opened for viewing, a box titled 'Contact Poster by e-mail' will become available in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
Complete the fields and use the 'Send' button.
Your message or inquiry will be delivered to the advertiser's e-mail inbox.
Please note: When you reply to a post, your email address will be visible to the recipient. If you want to remain anonymous, it might help to use an email address that does not contain your name or other identifying information. (Many users set up web-based email accounts such as Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail for this purpose.)
Advertisers may also be contacted by other means specified within ads such as by telephone or fax.
If your reply comes back to you with an "undeliverable" message, please check the following:
Is the ad still posted on the site? (The Post and Core email address is only valid as long as the ad is active. Once an ad expires or is removed by the poster, replies will bounce back.)
If you were requested to reply manually (instead of using the provided reply box) to an e-mail address specified in an ad, please check to see that it was spelled correctly.
Copy and pasting email addresses helps prevent this kind of error.
Did you include a large file or image in your reply? (Attachments sent to a Post and Core email address cannot exceed 150 kilobytes.)
